How do you manifest correctly?

Someone just wrote me an interesting question...

I've just finished reading The Attractor Factor, and enjoyed its easy style and simple instructions for manifesting your desires. Having read your five step process, I then got confused by the inclusion of the intentional meditation. My confusion is this:

There's a contradiction between deciding, picturing and letting go, versus, stating what you want and picturing it repeatedly. Which is right? Are they both right, in different ways?

I've browsed through some articles on your website www.mrfire.com and found this quote from Joe Sugarman - "You don't want to dwell on what you've just let go or keep visualizing it or even keep thinking about it. Why?... because it interferes with the perfection of the Universe to manifest exactly what you want to accomplish".

Other writers have said the same thing, as I'm sure you know repeatedly asking for something just reinforces the lack of it. Yet, self-hypnosis techniques emphasize the repeated visualization of a desired goal.

Now, you are both a hypnotherapist and an adept manifestor. May I ask what you do, what works for you? And any other thoughts you might have on the matter?

With best regards, and sincere appreciation of what you are doing for people.

Good question.

What's the answer?

As I explain in the book, The Attractor Factor, you can have whatever you want as long as you don't want it.

Huh?

What that means is this: You can have whatever you want as long as you don't need it.

The idea is to be non-attached to it. If you need something to manifest, you are actually sending out an energy of desperation. Well, desperation just leads to more desperation. Need just leads to more need.

You want to be in the spirit of letting go -- which is the fifth step in The Attractor Factor process. You can visualize and focus and repeatedly say you want something, and the process will work as long as you are detached from the outcome of it.

This is an advanced concept in the art of manifestation, so don't let it make you too dizzy.

If you want to explore all of this in depth, consider getting the four-week course described at www.AttractANewCar.com

Be happy,

Joe

You need to create room for positive thoughts before you can manifest your desires. Naturally what occupies your mind will take shape in your life. One by one, everything that you don't want or fear will appear. You can stop this cycle by ignoring negative thoughts. Let negative thoughts come through but do not pay attention or get emotional about what it says. When you ignore it for the first time, it will reappear in another guise to catch you off-guard. Keep vigilant and avoid engaging. Slowly but surely the cycle will lose momentum and eventually stop altogether. When you remove negative thoughts from your mind, there will be more room for positive ones. By process of elimination you will fill your mind with positive and uplifting thoughts, ready to take form as your desires.

Hiya Joe,

Just started doing Intentional Meditation on December 23rd, 2006 after reading Attractor Factor (today's the 27th). I like the feeling aspect of The Experiment because it's much easier for me to summon the emotions than it is to create an actual mental picture. Combined with a bit of prayer and a candle, it has proved to be very powerful! After only 3 days of doing The Experiment (visualizing a $5,000 dollar check and feeling immense gratitude and relief, and constantly shouting "YES!") a successful artist friend called me out of the blue to offer me a position as her "Internet marketing specialist". I have absolutely NO business or art background but am pretty Internet savvy. For a few hours a week of work e-mailing prospective galleries and clients, she is offering me a percentage of every piece that sells. Her stained glass art is AMAZING and sells almost as soon as she finishes a piece. Today we meet to finalize the details. Will it net me 5 G's by January 23rd? Who knows, but I'm convinced this opportunity is no coincidence and would not have materialized had I not begun The Experiment. This is only the beginning, I can feel it! Thanks for your book and for explaining the Law of Attraction. Because of that, I now truly believe I can create whatever I want. See it, feel it, have it. It is Law! Happy New Year and all the best to you and yours!
